REVEALED: No change in release plans; Ranbir Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor starrer Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar to arrive in cinemas on March 8, as originally scheduled

Last week, Bollywood Hungama reported that there could be a change in the release date of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The makers of the Ranbir Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor starrer were contemplating releasing the film on Tuesday, March 7, instead of Wednesday, March 8. The thought emerged as the makers thought that it’ll be wise to take advantage of the Holi holiday in several states on March 7. However, we have not learnt that the prepone plans have been dropped. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “There is no change in the plan. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will release on March 8, as originally scheduled.” The source further said, “A lot of last-minute prep is going on with the film and the makers feared that releasing a day earlier might add a lot of stress to the already overworked team. Moreover, even internationally, the plan was locked for March 8. Hence, a decision was taken to release Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar on March 8.” The source added, “The makers are confident of a healthy opening, though it’ll be a working day in several states on March 8. But thanks to considerable hype and youthful appeal, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar can score on the partial holiday on Wednesday. And let’s not forget that Women’s Day also falls on March 8 and that can further boost the footfalls.” A trade expert quipped, “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will enjoy a five-day weekend and then there’s limited competition till the release of Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa. If the film clicks with the audience, it’ll be the second hit of 2023 after Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.” Besides Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar also stars Dimple Kapadia and Anubhav Singh Bassi. Producer Boney Kapoor makes his full-fledged acting debut with this rom-com. It is directed by Luv Ranjan, of Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011) and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018) fame. TV actor Zeeshan Khan undergoes treatment after being admitted due to food poisoning

Recent reports have been doing the rounds that reality show star Zeeshan Khan will soon be making his Bollywood debut. While the actor was seen in a unique negative role in the popular fantasy drama Naagin, now we hear that Khan has bagged another interesting supernatural television show.  It seems that Khan has kicked off a new project but faced a minor setback as he got admitted to the hospital while shooting for his show titled Baagin. Zeeshan Khan will be playing a negative lead in the show Baagin and is currently shooting for the same in Rajpipla, Gujarat. A source revealed that the actor fell ill on the sets of the television serial adding, “ Recently, an unfortunate incident took place. While shooting for Baagin, Zeeshan started feeling uneasy and complained of stomach ache. He was later rushed to the hospital as the ache became severe. The doctors ran some regular tests and confirmed that it was food poisoning. Post the tests, the actor was kept under observation for a while. However, the doctors have confirmed that he is stable now. In fact, Zeeshan has resumed work and has also returned to the sets.” For the unversed, Zeeshan Khan was previously seen in Bigg Boss and he has also been a part of a reality show Lock Upp on ALT Balaji. Samantha Ruth Prabhu gets bruises while shooting action scenes in Citadel, see picture

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is going through a lot these days, right from her upcoming projects to her health. For those not in the know, the actress revealed at the end of last year about her struggle while dealing with Myositis. If this wasn’t enough, she just went through some more pain. Samantha recently got bruised on the sets of her upcoming project Citadel. Her character in the Amazon Prime Video show requires her to perform a lot of action and stunt sequences. While shooting one such scene today, Samantha got bruised on her hands. She shared a picture of her condition on her Instagram story and wrote, “Perks of action.” Citadel is the Indian version of Russo Brothers’ international action show of the same name and on the same platform. Saiyami Kher to essay the role of a para-athlete in R Balki's sports drama Ghoomer

Saiyami Kher will soon be seen in R Balki’s Ghoomer, an emotional and inspiring sports drama. Saiyami plays the role of a para-athlete, a cricket prodigy. Although she grew up playing cricket, this role was especially challenging since she had the role of a para-athlete, something she had to work hard to get into character. Siayami says, “I play the role of a left-handed bowler in Ghoomer and, for me, in real life, I am a right-handed player. I could never actually step into the shoes of a real-life para-athlete, but even the small hurdles I had to overcome being an athlete myself, reminded me of things we take for granted. Preparing and filming for Ghoomer opened my eyes in a way that I never thought would happen to go into it. It was a physically and emotionally challenging time, but my struggles were minuscule when compared to those heroes who make our country proud by participating in so many sports as para-athletes”. Ghoomer, which is expected to release in 2023 is a movie about a sports prodigy and also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Angad Bedi and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles. Abhishek plays her coach and Angad Bedi plays her love interest in the movie. Bollywood actor Salman Khan is gearing up for his Eid 2023 release. The actor has already released one song 'Naiyyo Lagda' featuring Pooja Hegde from Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. As he gears up for his second song release, the actor has already screened the first cut of his film to his family and close friends. As per a report in Mid-day, the actor had screened the first cut at his brother Sohail Khan's studio in Bandra. Reportedly, they found the movie as a family entertainer. The report also said that some changes that were suggested will be incorporated in the final cut by Bunty Negi (editor). The pending romantic song from Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani will be shot in Kashmir in a ten-day schedule beginning on March 1. The crew has already left for Kashmir while Karan will leave for the valley with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt on February 28 and join the crew. Alia will be accompanied by her baby Raha for the ten-day schedule. This will be little Raha’s first journey outside Mumbai. Sharing more details, a source added, “Everyone is very excited about having Raha on location in Kashmir. Karan more so than the others as he hardly gets time to spend with Raha.” With this song in Kashmir, the entire shooting of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, a tribute to Karan’s favourite director Yash Chopra, will be complete. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is one of the most anticipated films of this year. It also stars Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan in pivotal roles. Sony LIV has announced an adaptation of the renowned detective fiction mystery novel "The Sittaford Mystery," written by legendary British novelist and queen of the crime genre, Agatha Christie. Titled Charlie Chopra & The Mystery Of Solang Valley, the original is helmed by Bhardwaj’s home banner – Vishal Bhardwaj Pictures along with Priti Shahani’s Tusk Tale Films in association with Agatha Christie Limited. Sharing a video of his team on a flight flying to an unknown location, Karan Johar wrote on Instagram, “Shooting the last schedule of our film #rockyaurranikipremkahani…a film i have directed after 7 years…shooting a song which is a homage to my favourite filmmaker of all times… won’t say any more…” Over a month ago, Bollywood Hungama had reported that Karan Johar will shoot the song as a tribute to his mentor Yash Chopra. Akshay Kumar takes the blame for his films not working; says, “It is my fault, 100%”

Earlier this week, yet another film of Akshay Kumar hit the theatres. Selfiee, co-starring Emraan Hashmi, is an action comedy that is a remake of the Malayalam film Driving License. While the trailer and the remake of the song, ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’ from the film was quite well-received, the film failed to make a mark among the audiences. In a recent interview, the actor, who insisted on giving up his Canadian citizenship for Indian citizenship, also opened up about his recent failures at the box office. The superstar also requested everyone to not blame the audience, further taking up the blame on himself about his films not working. In his interview with Aaj Tak, Akshay Kumar opened up about the performance of his recent theatrical releases, and said, "It is a great alarm, aapki film nahi chal rahi to galti aapki hai (If your films are not working, it is your fault). When your films flop in a row, it is an alarm for you that it is time for you to change. Mai koshish kar raha hun, wahi kar sakta hoon (I am trying to change, that is all I can do).” He continued, “Do not blame the audience or anyone else. It is my fault, 100%. Aapki film na chalna is not because of audience. It is because of what you selected. Maybe you have not given the right ingredients in the film.” Furthermore, the actor also opened up about experiencing a much worse fate in terms of films in the past, wherein he had given 16 consecutive flops. "This is not happening with me for the first time. There was a time when I had eight films in a row that did not work. Now, I have had three-four films in a row that did not work. The thing is that it happens due to your own fault, film ka na chalna (a film not working). The audience has changed, you need to change, you need to dismantle yourself,” he maintained. Dunki director Rajkumar Hirani speaks highly of Shah Rukh Khan; says, “Sometimes I have kept two days for a shoot and he finishes it in two hours”

Rajkumar Hirani is arguably the biggest director of Bollywood right now. He has delivered five films till now, all of which have been huge successes and have tremendous recall value. With the story soon taking a leap with a completely different set of actors on board, reports have it that the makers have approached Paras Kalnawat after the actor quit Anupama to participate in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Besides him, the leading lady is expected to be played by Sana Sayyad who is known for shows like Divya Drishti in which she played the role of one of the female leads, Drishti. She was last seen in the Colors show Spy Bahu alongside Sehban Azim in which she essayed the character of a spy. Just before Valentine's Day, the first song of the film 'Naiyo Lagda' was released. Although it was ridiculed by some sections, the song grew with each passing day. And now, it has come to light that the second song of this much-awaited film will be out very soon. Bollywood Hungama has learnt that the second track is titled ‘Billi Billi’. The song is expected to be a fun, catchy number and it will be released to the public on Thursday, March 2. Interestingly, the makers have embarked upon an interesting promotional strategy before the release of ‘Billi Billi’. They sent cat masks to several journalists today and informed them through a letter that a similar mask has been used in the song as well. The media persons have been encouraged to don the mask and create interesting and creative reels. SCOOP: Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar's makers contemplating preponing the release of the Ranbir Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor starrer by a day

The much-awaited romcom, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, is less than two weeks away from its release and there's considerable excitement among the audiences. The trailer and songs of this Ranbir Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor starrer have worked well and trade expects Luv Ranjan’s directorial to have a huge opening at the box office. And if sources are to be believed, the makers are thinking of releasing it sooner than expected. A source said, "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is scheduled to release on Wednesday, March 8. But the producers are toying with the idea of preponing it and releasing it a day earlier, on Tuesday, March 7.” The source continued, "The second day of Holi falls on March 7. There has been confusion over this aspect. In many places, the Holi holiday will be on March 7. To take advantage of it, the makers felt that it was wise to come on March 7 since that's when it'll get maximum footfalls." The source, however, also added, “A decision will be taken in a few days. If Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar gets ready in time, it’ll be out on Tuesday, March 7. SCOOP: Sanjay Dutt to play a villain in Hera Pheri’s third part, starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal?

The past week has been dominated by Hera Pheri. It all began with the report that the much-awaited comedy sequel has gone on floors on February 21. The report also stated that Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal will be reprising their characters. The next day, Bollywood Hungama broke the news that the third part will not be called Hera Pheri 3. Instead, it has been titled Hera Pheri 4. And now, we bring to you another exciting update. Yesterday, it was reported that Sanjay Dutt has been cast in Hera Pheri 4. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Sanjay Dutt has indeed signed the film. It is said that he’ll be playing one of the antagonists in the film. His character is blind and is quite quirky. He’s expected to add to the madness quotient of the Hera Pheri series.” The source further said, “Sanjay Dutt is superb in comedy roles and the makers felt he’ll be right for this role. Moreover, his casting will add to the brand value. Karan Johar signs a two-film deal with The Night Manager director Sandeep Modi

The Night Manager featuring Anil Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur released last week and it opened to rave reviews, especially from the fraternity. In fact, filmmaker-producer Karan Johar too seems to be quite impressed with the work as the producer has decided to collaborate with the director of the show, Sandeep Modi. As per recent reports, Karan Johar and his banner Dharma Productions have apparently signed a two film deal with Karan Johar. A recent report in Pinkvilla has quoted a source revealing details of this deal, where it was said, “Sandeep Modi has been working on a script for the last two years and the things are now locked on paper with regards to the story. His next directorial is a big budget action film for Dharma Production. While the script is more or less locked now, the film will enter the pre-production stage by summer this year, as the team is looking to mount a big action film.” Although details of the casting aren’t revealed as yet, the source continued, "It will be a big star-cast film and will proceed into the casting stage by this summer. The details about his second film with Dharma are not known yet, but he has already got an idea green lit by Karan Johar.” As for the film’s shoot schedule, we hear that the film will go on floors by end of this year. Coming to The Night Manager, the show is currently being streamed on Disney+Hotstar features Aditya Roy Kapur in the role of a spy along with Anil Kapoor playing a feared gangster and Sobhita Dhulipala playing the latter’s girlfriend. The show is an Indian adaptation of the John Le Carre novel by the same name. Anees Bazmee on why he said no to Hera Pheri 3; “Firoz didn’t have much of a story, let alone a script. Unhone jo mujhe idea bataya woh kuch jammee nahin”

Wasn’t hit maker Anees Bazmee almost inked for directing the third part of producer Firoz Nadiadwala’s Hera Pheri franchise? Now we hear Farhad Samji is doing the film. Anees is suddenly out. What happened? I reached out to Anees, and he didn’t beat around the bush. “I met the producer Firoz Nadiadwala several times. He didn’t have much of a story let alone a script. Unhone jo mujhe idea bataya woh kuch jammee bahin (the idea he threw at me didn’t jell with me). Maina na keh diya (I said no),” admits Anees. The formula for a successful film is simple for Anees. “No script no hit. It’s as simple as that. Which is why I am taking so much time over my next screenplay, which will star Shahid Kapoor. I am going to finish writing it by the end of this month. Then there will be an announcement.” Coming back to the third part of Hera Pheri (which will be titled Hera Pheri 4) Anees says, “After I declined the offer, I now hear the film is going to be directed by someone else (Farhad Samji). Akshay Kumar who was totally opposed to doing the film without a proper script has apparently agreed to come on board. I don’t know how or why. Only he will be able to tell. Speaking for myself, I am not part of that project anymore.” Was the fact that Firoz Nadiadwala still owed Anees money for the last film that they did together, also a reason for Anees opting out? “Yes, that too. Raju, Shyam and Baburao to go international in Hera Pheri 4, “They will do Hera Pheri globally,” reveals Paresh Rawal

The news about the third film in the Hera Pheri franchise was out two days back on February 22. A leaked photo of the famous trio from the series – Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal – along with the team were spotted shooting a promo for the movie in a studio in Mumbai. Interestingly, despite it being the third film in the franchise, it is titled Hera Pheri 4. There is a lot of curiosity among the fans to know what the next instalment of the series has in store. It is now learnt that this time, the Hera Pheri trio of Raju, Shyam and Babu bhaiya, played by Akshay, Shetty and Rawal, would travel internationally. Rawal revealed this in a conversation with Mid-Day along with the shooting schedule of the film. “We’ll begin shooting in three months,” he told the publication. “It will be a (long) schedule in Mumbai. The movie will also be shot in international locations like Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Los Angeles, as Babu bhaiya, Raju and Shyam go abroad. They’ll do hera pheri globally.” Rawal was happy to meet his co-stars for the promo shoot recently. “Meeting them felt like ghar wapsi. It’s always a joy shooting with Akshay and Suniel. They are talented actors who are not insecure about their work. We have mutual respect. Our off-screen camaraderie reflects in our on-screen chemistry,” he further told the publication. Earlier, there were reports about Kartik Aaryan replacing Akshay in the third part of Hera Pheri. Reacting on this, Rawal revealed, “As far as I know, initially, both Kartik and Akshay were to do the film, but it didn’t work out. I don’t know what happened.” The first film in the series, titled Hera Pheri, had released in 2000 and it became a cult classic. It was directed by Priyadarshan. Brothers Ayushmann Khurrana and Aparshakti Khurana to host Zee Cine Awards 2023

Ayushmann Khurrana has carved a niche for himself in mainstream Hindi cinema with his unusually funny and quirky dramas over the years, including his spectacular debut in the form of Shoojit Sircar’s Vicky Donor in 2012. Similarly, his younger brother Aparshakti Khurana has also succeeded in displaying his talent in films and web-series in the last few years. Now, the two are all set to display their comic skills as the hosts of this year’s Zee Cine Awards, which will be taking place on February 26 in Mumbai. Nawazuddin Siddiqui dowry case dismissed by Mumbai court

Readers may be aware that for the past few days, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is in news after his ‘former’ wife Aaliya Siddiqui threw major allegations against his family, including that of house arrest and as well as forcing her and their children to only use selected facilities within their residence. Along with her complaint, she had also alleged that Siddiqui and his family are harassing her for dowry and had moved the court regarding the same. However, as per recent reports, the Mumbai court has dismissed her pleas after their divorce documents were presented. In recent reports, lawyers Adnan Shaikh and Drishti Khurana had alleged that the couple are not married anymore. Presenting evidence to support their argument, the lawyers clarified in their statement that they produced divorce documents of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Aaliya Siddiqui aka Zainab. Following this, the court dismissed two pleas. In their statement, the lawyers also alleged how the marriage documents were presented to the court but their divorce documents were concealed. Talking about Aaliya Siddiqui, after she claimed that she and her kids were being tortured by Nawaz’s parents in their house, she had taken to social media to post videos of how there were security guards in her residence. In the video, Aaliya aka Zainab had shared how these guards refused her access to basic places like bathroom and toilet as she and her kids, were allegedly, allowed to use only the living room. As for the case, Aaliya had registered the case at Versova police station against Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his family by filing an FIR against them under sections 498A, 509, and others of IPC on the grounds of dowry harassment and protection of women’s rights. This came after Aaliya was allegedly accused of trespassing by Siddqui’s family. As the super-spies start crossing over in each other’s films, which are part of the blockbuster YRF Spy Universe, expect twists and surprises that deliver outstanding entertainment value to audiences in theatres!” The source added, “Shah Rukh will shoot for Tiger 3 by end-April and the shoot is expected to be in Mumbai. Details of this shoot is being kept completely under wraps but expect fireworks when the two super spies meet again in Tiger 3. After tons of rumours of Kartik Aaryan joining the star cast of Hera Pheri 3, Akshay Kumar publicly accepted that he backed out from the film. But recently, the OG Hera Pheri trio of Akshay, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal started shooting for the third instalment. While a section of fans is still rejoicing the news, there is another big news coming in for another Akshay Kumar-led franchise, Welcome. For the unversed, released in 2007, Welcome was one of the biggest laugh riots of that year. Besides him, the film also starred Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal, Mallika Sherawat and Katrina Kaif. Later, in 2015, Welcome Back, the sequel, saw Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Paresh Rawal reprise their roles, along with Shruti Haasan, John Abraham, Shiney Ahuja, Dimple Kapadia and Naseeruddin Shah joining the star cast. SCOOP: Hera Pheri’s third part, starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, to be called Hera Pheri 4

Bollywood Hungama in June 2022 was the first one to break the news that Hera Pheri 3 is indeed in the offing. Firoz Nadiadwala in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama confirmed that the same star cast as in the first two parts - Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal - will be featured in the third part. As expected, the news went viral. Yesterday, Hera Pheri 3 was once again in the news after it was reported that it went on floors. A few hours later, news came in that Farhad Samji is the director of the much-awaited film. Bollywood Hungama has now stumbled upon another interesting piece of information. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Although it’s Hera Pheri’s third part, it won’t be called Hera Pheri 3. Instead, the makers have decided to name the film Hera Pheri 4. The makers feel it justifies the story and viewers will understand the reason behind it once they see the film.” The source also shared, “Hera Pheri 4 hasn’t gone on the floors yet. Yesterday, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal shot for a promo, announcing that the third part of the blockbuster comedy franchise is officially on and that it’s going on floors soon. The filming will begin later on, in a month or two.” Last year, a controversy erupted after it came to light that Kartik Aaryan has been signed for the film and that Akshay Kumar has moved out. Hence, many people felt that without him, Hera Pheri’s next part won’t make for an exciting watch. After this episode, however, the differences between producer Firoz Nadiadwala and Akshay Kumar got resolved and Akshay Kumar was back in the Hera Pheri franchise. Hera Pheri (2000), which was directed by Priyadarshan, was a story of a poor landlord and his two tenants, and how they become rich after they receive a wrong number. The sequel, Phir Hera Pheri (2006), directed by Neeraj Vora, took the story forward and how the trio went from riches to rags in their quest for greed and wealth. Hera Pheri 4 is expected to take the story forward after the events of the second part. Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram on Tuesday to blast paparazzi for invading her privacy at her home. The actress was quite furious when photographers clicked her photos inside her house. The actress took to her Instagram story to call out the publication for sharing her pictures and even tagged Mumbai Police. Alia wrote, “Are you kidding me? I was at my house, having a perfectly normal afternoon, sitting in my living room when I felt something watching over me. I looked up and saw two men on the terrace of the neighbouring building with a camera right at me. In what world is this okay and is this allowed? This is a gross invasion of someone’s privacy. There’s a line that you must not cross, and it is safe to say that all lines were crossed today.” Rallying behind her and calling out the invasion of privacy, Karan Johar, Anushka Sharma, Arjun Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor also shared their grievances. Anushka Sharma, who had faced a similar incident, shared Alia’s story and wrote, “This is not the first time they are doing this. About two years ago we called them out for the same reason! You’d think it would have made them respectful of people's space and privacy. Absolutely shameful! They were also the only guys posting the photos of our daughter despite repeated requests.” Karan Johar, who is close to Alia, also posted, “There is no justification to this absolutely disgusting invasion of privacy. CONFIRMED: Aditya Chopra won’t merge his Dhoom Universe with the Spy Universe

Post the success of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan, Yash Raj Films has become the talk of the town. In fact, Aditya Chopra who usually stays away from the limelight has been thrust into the spotlight with the success of the Siddharth Anand directorial and the recent Netflix docu-series The Romantics. While the audience continues to patronize Pathaan, reports have surfaced claiming that Aditya Chopra is considering merging two major franchises. As per reports, rumours floating around say that Aditya Chopra will be merging his Dhoom Universe with the Spy Universe. We can assure you that this information is absolutely incorrect. “Dhoom franchise and YRF Spy Universe are now two of the biggest IP’s in the history of Indian cinema and Aditya Chopra, who owns both these IP’s, will never merge the two because he would want to grow them separately. YRF Spy Universe is a world of super spies and Dhoom is the world of anti-establishment anti-heroes. They can’t come together. Sonu Nigam gets attacked in a concert in Mumbai; registers complaint against politician’s son for causing chaos

As per recent reports, Sonu Nigam has been admitted the hospital after a few people caused a major ruckus at his concert in Mumbai. The Padma Shri award-winning singer was performing at a finale of a homegrown festival in Chembur when an MLA’s son and his nephew attacked the stage after they were unable to fulfill their wish of getting a selfie with Nigam. While the security guards try to bring the chaos under control, some of them sustained injuries too. From what we hear, Shiv Sena MLA Prakash Phaterpekar’s son and nephew was keen on clicking photographs with the singer and was attempting to interrupt the concert while Sonu Nigam was singing on stage. When the bodyguards and security tried to stop him from entering the stage, the matter worsened as he and his team got into a fight with the guards, which resulted in chaos. A video of the same has been doing the rounds on social media. Although Sonu was rushed to the hospital, followed by the incident, it seems that the singer is doing well. Recent reports have confirmed Sonu Nigam has filed a complaint with the Mumbai police regarding the incident and a case has been registered against the accused under section 323, 341, 337 of IPC with regards to using physical violence, causing harm and endangering the safety and well-being of others. The police also addressed the media with relation to the case, in which they have asserted that the accused’s name is Swapnil Phaterpekar. SCOOP: Aamir Khan to announce Campeones with Salman Khan on his birthday 14th March 2023?

Bollywood Hungama was the first to report that Aamir Khan has offered the official adaptation of Campeones to his colleague and friend, Salman Khan. We also reported that Salman Khan had shown active interest in the subject and was keen to come on board the film. And now we have another update on this RS Prasanna directed sports drama. According to a source close to the development, things are moving in the right direction at the moment and both Salman and Aamir are very keen to come together for this special film. "Salman too has liked the subject and is sitting with Aamir to decide on multiple aspects - right from the shooting schedule to the locations and other aspects. Both Salman and Aamir are planning to take the film on floors in June 2023," the source told Bollywood Hungama. The same source added that Salman is yet to do the paperwork as he is still awaiting that one final narration from Aamir's end. "The narration will happen soon. In-fact, Aamir is keen to announce this epic collaboration on his birthday in March. He is hopeful that everything will fall in place by March 14," the source told us further. If the film happens, it would mark the teaming up of two giants for the first time in the capacity of actor and producer. While Salman Khan will be acting in the film, Aamir has decided to take complete control on the creative front. SCOOP: Kubbra Sait starring in the next web series by Prakash Jha

Kubbra Sait was recently seen in Amazon Prime Video’s acclaimed web series Farzi. Directed by The Family Man duo Raj and DK, the show mainly stars Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon and Raashii Khanna. It now seems that the actress has bagged another big web series and that too with the veteran filmmaker Prakash Jha. As per our source, Kubbra has already started shooting this show in the prominent cities of Uttar Pradesh and has already completed a portion of it. This show is helmed by Jha. Sharing more, the source said, “Over a month-long schedule, Kubbra shot extensively in Prayagraj, Lucknow and the local areas around. Immediately after the shoot, Kubbra headed to LA for a month long work trip and will resume shooting for the series once she returns in April.” Last year, Kubbra was a part of actor and director Rajat Kapoor’s quirky drama RK/RKay, which received rave reviews from critics. SCOOP: Before Pathaan’s release, Zee Studios had considered coming on board Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan; backed out as the acquisition cost was more than Rs. 300 crores

Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan is an all-time blockbuster and now, he has already moved on to completing his other two films, Jawan and Dunki. Jawan will be his next release and there’s already considerable hype for it, especially after its massy first look teaser was released last year. Moreover, it’s directed by South director Atlee, who knows the pulse of the audience. And with Pathaan becoming a Rs. 500 crores grosser, the excitement for Jawan has gone many notches higher. Interestingly, there’s no clarity yet on who’ll be distributing and releasing Jawan. While Bollywood Hungama was enquiring about it, we stumbled upon an interesting piece of information. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Almost six months ago, Zee Studios was in talks with Shah Rukh Khan’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment, also the producers of Jawan, to come on board as the studio partner. But Zee had to decline as the acquisition cost went above Rs. 300 crores, to around Rs. 350 crores.” The source continued, “These talks took place nearly six months ago. This was a time when films were flopping left, right and centre. Also, Pathaan had not released yet and had wowed the industry and trade with its achievement of collecting Rs. 70 crores in a day and a lot more. Hence, Zee probably decided to back out as they felt that it might be financially unviable.” The source, however, has no update about the present-day scenario and whether Zee Studios has once again shown interest or some other studio has commenced discussions with Jawan’s makers. Besides Shah Rukh Khan, Jawan also stars Priya Mani and Sanya Malhotra. Vijay Sethupathi, who recently debuted in the Hindi-speaking markets with the acclaimed web series Farzi, is reportedly playing the antagonist. On Friday, February 17, Bollywood Hungama reported that in the film’s last schedule, Shah Rukh will be shooting a massy chase sequence. Jawan releases in cinemas on June 2, 2023. Kareena Kapoor Khan was supposed to be paired opposite Pakistani actor Danish Taimoor instead of Sumeet Vyas in Veere Di Wedding

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the most popular stars in the country. The actress, who is a mother of two, worked through her first pregnancy. This also led to the delay in kicking off, Veere Di Wedding which starred Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania. Turns out, not Sumeet Vyas, but popular Pakistani actor Danish Taimoor was supposed to be paired opposite Kareena. Rhea Kapoor brought Fawad Khan to the film industry and it seems like she wanted to introduce another fresh face in the films who was already a heartthrob in Pakistan. In a recent conversation, Danish Taimoor revealed that the actor was supposed to be a part of the film but due to Kareena’s pregnancy, the film was delayed and the rising tension between the two nations also put a stop for actors to work in Bollywood. During his chat on The Talk Talk Show with Hassan Choudary, the actor said, “We didn’t reveal it because we were too excited, (I, and Ayeza Khan [his wife, actor]), we were ecstatic. I was also given the dates by the production house, and they had finalized me and Javed Sheikh. When the first scene of the film was to be shot in Thailand, Kapoor announced her pregnancy which caused an inevitable delay followed by the escalation from both India and Pakistan." Produced by Rhea Kapoor and helmed by Shashanka Ghosh, Veere Di Wedding released in 2018. Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha with Aamir Khan. The film released on August 11, 2022, and arrived on Netflix on October 6, 2022. She has wrapped the Indian adaptation of The Devotion of Suspect X with Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. The film is directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The actress has also wrapped the shoot for Hansal Mehta's next. With this film, the actress turns producer for the first time. The project will be co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Hansal Mehta. Ekta and Kareena Kapoor Khan previously teamed up on the comedy, Veere Di Wedding in 2018. Reports also state that Kareena Kapoor Khan has signed a project, which will also star Tabu and Kriti Sanon. The makers are yet to confirm their movie. Cinemas to celebrate Pathaan Week from February 20 to 23, to show the film only at Rs 110

The Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan has been ruling the box office right from the time its advance bookings were opened last month. The spy action film, which is directed by Siddharth Anand, recently crossed the Rs 500 crores nett mark in India and is now all set to reach Rs 1000 crores gross worldwide. To celebrate this feat, theatre owners across India have decided to hold Pathaan Week from February 20 to 23 by showing the film for only Rs 110. The makers had already slashed the ticket prices to Rs 110 for the film’s fourth weekend (till today). Now the same will continue for the weekdays as well. Sharing the news, Rohan Malhotra, Vice President, Distribution, YRF, said, “2023 has started extremely well not just for YRF with Pathaan but also for the entire exhibition circuit and we couldn’t be happier. The biggest all-time blockbuster Pathaan, which is the latest offering from Aditya Chopra’s YRF Spy Universe, has been entertaining audiences globally since its release and it is amazing that all the leading multiplex chains are coming together to celebrate the contribution of this film towards the Hindi film industry.” He added, “It is going to be Pathaan Week across these participating cinemas with tickets priced at flat Rs 110. Jaideep Ahlawat felt bad about An Action Hero’s failure at the box office: ‘I felt yeh galat hai’

Bollywood actor Jaideep Ahlawat, who has worked on projects like Raazi, Paatal Lok, and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar among others, was most recently seen in An Action Hero starring alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. However, the film didn't work at the box office back in December 2022 but found a new life on Netflix. Ahlawat has said that he felt angry about this and thought that it was wrong that it didn't fare well at the box office. When asked if the film didn't get its due credit, Jaideep Ahlawat told Indian Express, “Yes, I definitely feel that. I feel a little bad for Anirudh (Iyer) also, he is a first-time director and he is an amazing filmmaker and an amazing human being. So I felt a little bad for him, the film also and for me, I felt yeh galat hai.” He said, “And then when the film came on OTT, everybody watched and loved it. I felt a little angry also. People (after watching it on OTT) wrote how they wished they had watched the film in theatres. Everybody who watched it in theatres or on OTT loved the film. I haven’t come across anyone who said yeh kya bakwaas film hai (what nonsense this is). It feels weird, I was like yeh samajh nahi aaya aise kyun hua (I don’t know what went wrong). It was a Bollywood masala film with so many things in it. There were so many factors in it, so many little social issues were addressed in the film. We told the story in a good way, but it showed yeh sab aapke aas paas ho raha hai (this is all happening in your immediate surrounding).” Meanwhile, Jaideep Ahlawat has Sujoy Ghosh's adaptation of the Japanese novel Devotion Of Suspect X with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Vijay Varma. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan makeup artist hospitalised after a leopard attack at Filmcity in Mumbai

Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff are currently shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar's actioner Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. It will be an out-n-out action entertainer and is expected to be mounted on a huge scale. The film will have Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran playing the antagonist. It was reported on Friday that the makeup artist Shravan Vishwakarma on Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was hospitalised in Mumbai after he was attacked by a leopard. Makeup artist Shravan Vishwakarma was reportedly on his bike and had gone to drop his friend when his bike collided with a leopard. Talking about the incident, he told Aaj Tak, “I had come to drop my friend from the bike. It was a little further from the shoot location and a pig crossed the road. I thought of getting out of here quickly. As soon as I increased the speed of the bike, I saw that a leopard was running after the pig. My bike collided with the leopard. After that, all I remember is that I fell from the bike and the leopard was roaming around me, then I don't remember anything. I had been unconscious. Later people probably came and took me to the doctor." The cost of his hospital bills has been taken care of by the production house.
