BREAKING: Kareena Kapoor-starrer The Buckingham Murders to be the opening film at Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival

The Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival (October 27 to November 5) is excited to announce that this year’s Opening Night film will be The Buckingham Murders, directed by Hansal Mehta, produced by Ektaa R Kapoor, and co-produced by Indian actress and star Kareena Kapoor Khan, who will all attend the film’s red carpet event. It will receive its International Premiere on Friday, October 27 at the NMACC (Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre), following a successful World Premiere at the 67th BFI London Film Festival.

Director Hansal Mehta’s moody procedural is an exploration of grief and our longing for closure, and captures the human cost of our polarised times, featuring a career-best performance by Khan. The story follows cop and single mother Jasmeet Bhamra (Kareena Kapoor Khan), who recently lost her child in a shooting spree, as she transfers to a market town north of London and is assigned the case of a missing child.

Hansal Mehta will be joined by Kareena Kapoor Khan and Ektaa R Kapoor at the film’s international premiere on Friday, October 27, at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival.

Besides Kareena Kapoor Khan, it also stars Ash Tandon (of Bodyguard fame), Ranveer Brar (MasterChef India), and Keith Allen (Kingsman: The Golden Circle). It is directed by Hansal Mehta and written by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakker. The film is produced by Balaji Telefilms and TBM Films alongside Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The international sales will be handled by Madhu Entertainment.

After a successful world premiere in August as the Centrepiece film at IFFM, Australia, a North American Premiere in September to a standing ovation as the Closing film at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival & a stupendous Canadian Premiere to a housefull opening night at International South Asian Film Festival in Vancouver earlier in October, the film is now set for its European Premiere at one of the biggest Genre festivals in the world - Razors Reel Flanders - in Belgium on November 2nd.

Kirti Kulhari to make her international feature debut with Sach is Life

Actor Kirti Kulhari is set to go international with her latest feature Sach is Life. The slice-of-life film, based on the extraordinary true events of an Indian immigrant family based out of the US, will mark Kirti's international debut. Written and directed by Harsh Mahadeshwar, Sach is Life is based on the original life story of the Munshi family. The film is produced by Romila Saraf Bhat, Rahul Bhat, Red Bison Productions located in Princeton, New Jersey.

According to the makers, Sach is Life narrates the compelling tale of a devoted couple who remain united in their determination to provide their three-year-old son, diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a life that he deserves. Kirti Kulhari, who plays the role of the mother, Daisy Munshi, said she is thrilled to star in the film and feels special that Sach is Life marks her international debut.

The actor—known for her powerful performances in projects like Four More Shots Please!, Criminal Justice, Pink and Human—said Sach is Life chronicles a story of rising above one's circumstances to unleash the "power of unconditional love, celebrate human spirit and to always hold on to that little thing called hope".

"The makers are from the US but it's an Indian story. I'm extremely excited to collaborate with a crew from the US and to work in an environment outside of India. I'll do my best to make it a film that we all are going to be proud of," Kirti said in a statement.

Sach is Life is gearing to go on floors next year around April. The film will be shot in Kashmir, New Delhi, New Orleans, New Jersey and New York. Kirti said she's currently in New York and has been prepping for the film for the last two to three months.

"I was in Houston, Texas in August where my writer-director lives. We met up a few times. We started going through the script scene by scene, totally going into the depths of every scene and getting to know the characters and the tone of the film."

Before Sach is Life goes on floors, Kirti said the plan is to "extensively workshop" and relentlessly work on the script, to bring the inspiring story to life. As part of the prep, she is also scheduled to meet Daisy Munshi, whose character she is set to portray.

"This is also the first time I am playing a real-life character. The family lives in Albany. We are meeting the whole family, especially Daisy ji whose character I am playing and her son, Sachin Munshi. That's a big part of the prep that I am really looking forward to. I think it will give me a lot of understanding of her story.

"I will also get to understand her personality, just by observing her, her mannerisms. It's a very challenging, tough, intense role and I know that the only way I can do this is by going all in," she added.

Sach is Life also co-stars actor Jim Sarbh. Further details about the film are awaited.

Actress Urvashi Rautela, who was among the fortunate ones to witness India's triumphant victory over Pakistan at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium during the World Cup 2023, recently shared her plea to locate her missing 24 carat real gold iPhone, which she believed she misplaced at the stadium.

Taking to her social media platform, Urvashi Rautela, on October 15, reached out to her followers and posted, “Lost my 24 carat real gold i phone at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad! If anyone comes across it, please help. Contact me ASAP!” In a bid to heighten the chances of recovery, she tagged the official accounts of Ahmedabad Stadium and Narendra Modi Stadium in her post. The actress also included relevant hashtags such as Lost Phone, Ahmedabad Stadium, Help Needed, and indvspak to increase the post's visibility. Soon after her plea went public, the Ahmedabad Police responded with a concise comment, “Mobile phone detail.”

Khatron Ke Khiladi 13: Rapper and Singer Dino James lifts the coveted trophy

Over the last 13 years, Colors’ stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi has entertained audiences by showcasing the journeys of daredevils from different walks of life. Hosted by Rohit Shetty, the 13th edition of the show has concluded after capturing a rollercoaster ride of emotions, entertainment, and adventures. After a life-altering journey, daredevil contestant, Dino James won the game-changing season whereas Arjit Taneja and Aishwarya Sharma stood as the first and second runners-up respectively, giving the winner a tough fight. The grand finale of the 13th season took the entertainment quotient of television to its zenith with adrenaline-inducing stunts, glamour, games, performances, and hilarious moments.

Talking about his win, Dino James said, “Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 came into my life as a blessing and I’m grateful to have had such an amazing time on this iconic show.  I value the appreciation I got from Rohit sir and the opportunity to be bigger than my fears. Apart from performing stunts to perfection, Dino entertained the contestants and the viewers by whipping out spontaneous raps. Host Rohit Shetty appreciated the rapper for being fearless not only while performing stunts, but also as he voiced his opinion when it mattered.

ZEE5, on October 13, unveiled the highly anticipated trailer of Duranga Season 2, starring Drashti Dhami and Gulshan Devaiah. Post the success of its first season, the streaming platform released the trailer of the new season with an assurance that the series will be more thrilling and intense as it will be introducing more twists and turns. Directed by Rohan Sippy, the psychological thriller will premiere on October 24 on ZEE5.

Rhea Kapoor confirms sequel to Veere Di Wedding 2; says, “it’s not going to be what anybody expects”

Ever since her cryptic post in March about ‘sequels’, audiences are eagerly waiting for her to announce about Veere Di Wedding sequel, which originally featured Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, and Shikha Talsania in lead roles. And it seems that they have some great news now! While her earlier announcement about reuniting with Kareena turned out to be for The Crew, it seems that Rhea has also been working separately on the sequel to this chic-flick wedding drama. And recently, the producer-filmmaker also confirmed on the same.

Rhea Kapoor, who is basking in the rave reviews for Thank You For Coming, decided to reveal to fans about the sequel to the Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer saying, “I’m working on Veere Di Wedding 2. It will be very different, it’s not going to be what anybody expects. I didn’t want to do it until I knew that it would be better than the first one and I knew that it was going to be hard because Veere Di Wedding is my everything.” However, the producer is yet to give a confirmation on the casting. “It’s such an important film for me. I love that film and very attached to it. I didn’t want to do it if I didn’t get the same amount of joy I did from making the first one. So, yes, Veere Di Wedding 2 is in the works,” she added.

Although she didn’t reveal any details about the return of the cast in the Veere Di Wedding sequel, in the same interaction, Rhea Kapoor also asserted about reuniting with Sonam Kapoor Ahuja for an upcoming film. For the unversed, Sonam Kapoor is yet to make an announcement about her return project after the actress went on maternity leave last year.

On the other hand, Rhea Kapoor’s next production The Crew starring a host of popular celebs like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, Kriti Sanon, Diljit Dosanjh, among others is slated for release on March 22 next year.

Madhura Naik informs about ‘300 family members’ stuck in Israel; responds to hate she received on social media

The situation in Israel is quite sensitive and the sudden attack of the Hamas terrorist group has taken lives of many innocents. Among them was also Madhura Naik’s family members. The Naagin actress had taken to social media to pass on the message of supporting Israel, after her sister and brother-in-law along with their kids were shot dead in their car during the attacks. In a recent interaction, the popular television star also revealed that about 300 of her family members are stuck there.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, the bereaved actress opened up about the Israel attacks and revealed about the bodies of her family members were found after they were reported missing. "My family informed me about them missing, and only after 24 hours were their bodies identified. Their children in the car along with them, were taken back by the officers on duty," says the grieving actress.

For the unversed, Madhura Naik is born to a Hindu father and Israeli mother. She further went on to react to the kind of hatred she received after sharing a video of asking everyone to support Israel in these tough times, and added, "The situation unfortunately has always been like this in Israel, we have always faced a lot of such situations. My family is worried about how things are going to escalate. I felt it is necessary to talk about it in my social media post. I cannot reveal where I am right now, due to security reasons, neither can I tell you which members are stuck in Israel. I have just been getting a lot of communal hate after my post, and it is shocking that people are failing to empathise with innocent lives. They fail to understand that it is the innocent civilians who die. This is a terror attack, same like what happened in Mumbai, 26/11.”

She concluded by adding that she is currently keeping everything including her current residence confidential owing to security reasons.

Genelia Deshmukh to star opposite Aamir Khan in Sitaare Zameen Par: Report

Genelia Deshmukh is all set to make a highly anticipated return to the big screen alongside Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan in the upcoming movie Sitaare Zameen Par. This exciting collaboration marks the duo's reunion after 16 years, as they last worked together in the hit film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa, where Aamir Khan produced the film, and Genelia starred alongside his nephew, Imran Khan.

In Sitaare Zameen Par, Genelia will share the screen with Aamir Khan and is reported to portray his love interest in the movie. According to Pinkvilla, sources close to the project said, “Aamir believes that Genelia fits the part of a strong independent woman like a hand in a glove. After ample discussions with his director, Aamir has got Genelia on board the film as the female lead. Genelia will play Aamir’s love interest and also be on a journey with the protagonist in training a team of specially-abled.”

Drawing a comparison between their previous collaboration and this upcoming project, the source explained, “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na was produced by Aamir and this one has him in the lead. Genelia is also very excited to play the part and team up with Aamir for the first time. It’s a perfect casting given the demand of script and character arc.”

This movie marks Aamir Khan's comeback to the silver screen following his previous film, Laal Singh Chaddha, which released in 2022 and featured Kareena Kapoor Khan. Laal Singh Chaddha was the official Bollywood remake of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump.

SCOOP: Sidharth Malhotra to create HISTORY; his web series Indian Police Force to release on December 8, the same day as his film Yodha

Bollywood Hungama yesterday reported that the much-awaited web series, Indian Police Force, will not make it on Diwali 2023. The decision was taken by Amazon Prime Video to push the release due to the release of Tiger 3 on the Festival of Lights. Also, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will be going on, which will surely be a huge talking point on the internet, especially since it’ll be in its last leg. The World Cup ends on November 19, that is, a week after Diwali.

Bollywood Hungama now brings to you the release date of Indian Police Force. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The keenly anticipated show will drop on Amazon Prime Video on December 8. The streaming giant feels that it’ll be an apt time and help them get the required views. They plan to promote it in a grand manner to ensure that the common man on the ground is fully aware of the show’s release date.”

Interestingly, Indian Police Force stars Sidharth Malhotra and his film Yodha will be out on the same day, in cinemas. The source continued, “This is probably a first-time occurrence that an actor will have a theatrical release and premiere of his web series on the same day. Sidharth Malhotra, thus, is all set to create history in the last month of 2023.”

Indian Police Force is helmed by blockbuster filmmaker Rohit Shetty and also stars Shilpa Shetty and Vivek Oberoi. The massy show was announced in a grand fashion at an event held by Amazon Prime Video in April 2022.

Yodha, meanwhile, co-stars Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna. It is directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha. It is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Aamir Khan has been a name synonymous with Indian cinema for a long time, but with his most recent interview, he stole the spotlight not as the unparalleled actor he is but as a father, as the superstar opened up on his experience with fatherhood at a conclave with a news channel. During the interview, the actor also opened up about his eldest child, Junaid Khan who is all set to make his own debut in Bollywood. But, before his acting debut, Junaid Khan will turn producer with Pritam Pyaare in which Aamir will have a special appearance.

Speaking to News 18, Aamir Khan said, "Junaid is now entering Bollywood as a producer like my father. With a new director and new team, I am happy with his work. I am doing a cameo in his movie for 5 minutes."

Talking about Junaid Khan’s interest in theatre and being an introverted, shy child, Aamir shared, “He is very interested in theatre. Junaid ke baare mein, main aapko bataun toh woh bahut he zaheen hai. Class mein joh bacha first aata hai na, joh bhi subject pucho toh har cheez ka jawab aata hai, uss type ka bacha hai, Junaid. Lekin jab woh bada ho raha tha, 10th mein aaya toh Reena aur main kaafi concerned aur pareshan the ki woh academics mein, padhai-likhai mein bahut tez tha, har subject mein, lekin woh logo se baat-cheet karne mein bohot sharmata that [About Junaid, what can I say? Let me tell you that he is very intelligent. Junaid was the first person in the class to answer whatever subject he was asked. But when he was growing up, when he was in 10th, Reena and I were very concerned and worried that he was very good in academics, in studies, in every subject, but he was very shy in talking to people].”

Talking about how Junaid wants to be a self-made person, Aamir adds, “Actually he is very introverted, Junaid joh hai, aapne shayad uski photo bhi nahi dekhi hogi. Bahut saare log bolte hain ki humne aapke bete ka chehra hi nahi dekha. He is very shy, woh jyada bahar nahi jata, woh alag kisam ka banda hai. Jaise ke abhi woh 30 saal ka hai, aur matlab bachpan se jaise har parents chahate hain ki woh apne baccho ke liye behtar se behtar cheez karein, toh main chaha raha tha ki main uske liye jab woh school jaye, kahin bhi ghumne jaaye toh main gaadi le loon and aaj tak usne mujhko allow nahi kiya gaadi lene ke liye. Woh aaj tak public transport use karta hai, bus mein jata hai, train mein jata hai. Abhi 2-3 mahine pehle woh, Pondicherry mein tha; usne kaha, 'Papa main jaa raha hoon Bangalore mere dost ki shaadi hai'. Toh I said, 'Flight kitne baje ki hai?' And he said, 'Nahi, main overnight bus mein jaa raha hoon, state bus mein.' Toh uska totally, apna apna khud ka andaaz hai. He is a very independent person, he likes to live life in his own way and I am very proud of him because he wants to be a self-made person. Toh woh khud apne aap har cheez karta hai, woh theatre karta hai, pichle chaar paanch saal se [Actually he is very introverted. You might not have even seen his photo. Many people have said that we have not seen your son's face. He is very shy, he doesn't show much, he is a different kind of person. Now he is 30 years old, and every parent since childhood wants to do the best for their children, so I wanted to be there for him when he went to school, wherever he went. I wanted to buy him a car and till today he has not allowed me to purchase him the car. Till today he uses public transport, travels by bus, travels by train. He was in Pondicherry 2-3 months ago; He said, 'Papa, I am going to Bangalore because it is my friend's wedding.' So I said, 'What time is the flight?' And he said, 'No, I am travelling in the main overnight bus, but in the state bus.' So that's totally his own style. He is a very independent person, he likes to live life in his own way and I am very proud of him because he wants to be a self-made person. So he himself does his own thing, he does theatre, since last four-five years].”

When asked by the anchor as to how he does theatre as an introvert, Aamir clarifies, “Introvert hai, creative hai, lekin matlab woh party-warty mein nahi jata. Kaam mein introvert nahi hai, kaam mein ek dam josh, kaam karta hai, lekin jyada bahar nahi jata. But something happened in his life actually, which changed him and this is a very odd thing, bahut chhoti cheez bhi hai,  Jab college usne join kiya 11th mein toh, bade achhe marks laye the, top college mein gaya lekin, mujhe phikar thi issi baat ki. Lekin ek hafte mein, maine dekha ki uska behaviour change ho raha hai dheere dheere, aur maine pucha ki kya hua toh usne ek club join kiya tha, ‘Rotaract Club’, jaise Rotary club hota hai na, waise Rotaract club join kiya usne. Aur uss Rotaract club join karne ke baad, usme itne activities hote hain, social cheeze organise karte hein bacche, college ke events organise karte hein, 365 din mein kuch unke 400 events hote hain, woh ek saal mein maine usme badlav dekha. I think that meeting children his age, interacting with them, and working on the streets with everyone, really made him confident and that is a big change in him. Toh woh itna introvert tha ki mujhe takleef hoti thi, lekin ab mujhe lagta hai ki woh sahi ho gaya, usne film produce kar li toh ab toh tension hi nahi hai [He is an introvert, he is creative, but that means he does not go to parties, he is not an introvert in his work. He has enthusiasm for his work. But something happened in his life actually, which changed him and this is a very odd thing. He went to college in 11th grade. But within a week, I noticed that his behaviour was gradually changing, and I asked him what had happened so he had joined a club, ‘Rotaract Club’, just like Rotary club is, so he had joined Rotaract Club. After joining our Rotaract club, they were doing so many activities, organizing social things for children, organizing college events. They had about 400 events in 365 days, that is the change I have seen in a change in him in a year. I think that meeting children his age, interacting with them, and working on the streets with everyone, really made him confident and that is a big change in him. Then he was so introverted that it used to bother me, but now I feel that he has done the right thing. He has produced a film and now there is no tension].”

Before stepping into the world of cinema, Junaid Khan dedicated six years to the world of theatre. His journey began in August 2017 with director Quasar Thakore Padamsee’s adaptation of Bertolt Brecht’s ‘Mother Courage and Her Children,’ a biting satire on the absurdity of war. This marked the beginning of a passionate pursuit of the craft of acting.

Manoj Bajpayee invests Rs. 31 crore in an office space in Mumbai

Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee has joined the ranks of Kajol, Amitabh Bachchan and many more in relation to investing in office space in Mumbai. The actor and his wife Shabana Raza have jointly invested Rs. 31 crore in a commercial real estate situated at Andheri.

According to The Economic Times, Manoj Bajpayee has purchased a four-office unit at a project by Veer Savarkar Projects in the Signature building in Oshiwara in Andheri. Each office unit measures approximately 1,905 square feet and is situated on the 12th floor with a cost of Rs. 7.77 crore each. Bajpayee and his wife paid Rs. 1.86 crore stamp duty.

Meanwhile, Manoj Bajpayee is currently shooting for Bhaiyya Ji. Bhaiyya Ji will be shot in Uttar Pradesh for 45 days. Apart from Manoj, the movie is produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Samiksha Oswal, Shael Oswal, Shabana Raza Bajpayee and Vikram Khakhar. AAP MP Raghav Chadha, husband of Parineeti Chopra, moves Delhi HC against bungalow eviction order

Two weeks after tying the knot with Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha moved to the Delhi High Court against an order of a court in the national capital that evicted him from his Type VII bungalow.

Chadha's plea was mentioned before the bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Sanjeev Narula. "MP has been served for eviction of house. We have an apprehension that the proceedings might start. We had a stay in trial court," Chadha's counsel said.

Chadha was given a Type 6 bungalow in July last year and had requested the Rajya Sabha Chairman for a bigger, Type 7 accommodation, which was allotted to him in September that year. He was then allotted another bungalow on Pandara Road from the Rajya Sabha pool. However, in March this year, the allotment was cancelled.

As a first-time MP, Chadha is entitled to a Type-5 accommodation in the normal course, according to the Rajya Sabha Members Handbook released in April 2022. The handbook says MPs who are former Union Cabinet Ministers, former Governors or former Chief Ministers and former Lok Sabha Speakers, are entitled to Type-7 bungalows, the second largest category available to Rajya Sabha MPs.

It is unclear why Chadha's allotment was cancelled in March this year. The Rajya Sabha secretariat has not yet issued a statement on the matter.

Zareen Khan wins legal battle, Kolkata Magistrate cancels warrant

In a recent turn of events, Bollywood actress Zareen Khan has been exonerated from an arrest warrant that had been issued against her by a Kolkata court in connection with an alleged cheating case dating back to 2018. The arrest warrant, initially sparked by what is now termed “fraudulent and misleading statements” made by the Investigating Officer, has been swiftly revoked by the Magistrate upon uncovering the “true and correct facts” of the case.

Additionally, the Hon’ble High Court of Kolkata has intervened, issuing an interim order that aligns with Zareen Khan's stance, effectively putting an end to the wrongful warrant and upholding the principles of justice. Zareen Khan, a prominent figure in the Bollywood industry, remains resolute in her commitment to her craft, as this favourable verdict attests.

To provide some context, the arrest warrant stemmed from an alleged cheating case dating back to 2018. The investigating officer had submitted a charge sheet against Zareen Khan before the Sealdah court in Kolkata. During this period, Zareen neither sought bail nor appeared before the court, resulting in the issuance of the arrest warrant due to her repeated absence.

Addressing the situation, Zareen Khan expressed her disbelief and assured that there is no truth to the allegations. She stated to India Today, “I’m sure there is no truth to this. I’m surprised too and am checking with my lawyer. Only then will I be able to give you some clarity? In the meantime, you can speak to my PR.”

The alleged cheating incident from 2018 revolved around Zareen Khan's scheduled performance during a Durga Puja function in Kolkata. Her non-appearance led to an organizer filing a written complaint of cheating against her and her manager. An FIR was subsequently registered against both individuals. Zareen Khan defended herself by claiming that she had been misled by the organizers, who had falsely represented the event as a high-profile gathering attended by ministers, including the Chief Minister of Bengal. She cited miscommunications regarding flight tickets and accommodations as reasons for her non-participation in the event.

Nayanthara in talks to be a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra: Report

One of the passion projects of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is Baiju Bawra which he is yet to announce with the lead cast members officially. Several reports have suggested that Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will headline the project, who have previously worked together on Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and Gully Boy. A report suggests that even Nayanthara is in talks to join the Bhansali project.

According to a publication, Nayanthara has been reportedly approached for a pivotal role in Baiju Bawra. She made her Hindi film debut with the recent blockbuster Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan. She is apparently considering the project and is yet to sign on the dotted line. While there is no confirmation yet, the actress was reportedly seen at Bhansali’s office in March earlier this year, with her husband Vignesh Shivan.

In 1952, filmmaker Vijay Bhatt created the film Baiju Bawra, which starred Bharat Bhushan and Meena Kumari. Baiju Bawra, which translates to ‘Crazy Baiju’, is the story of a singer named Baiju who makes his life’s mission to defeat the great singer Tansen in a musical competition for a deep personal reason. Tansen was one of the nine jewels in the court of Emperor Akbar and defeating him was considered next to impossible. Sony TV DENIES “Fabricated” KBC video on Shivraj Singh Chouhan; calls it “Misleading”

A video has been doing the rounds on social media, in which host Amitabh Bachchan is seen asking a contestant on Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), "Which of these chief ministers is called an announcement minister because of their fake announcements?" The other options included Manohar Lal Khattar, Yogi Adityanath, and Bhupendra Patel. The contestant chooses Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The video quickly went viral, with many people sharing it and criticizing the show for asking such a question. However, Sony TV has now issued a statement clarifying that the video is "fabricated" and that the question was never asked on the show.

In a statement released on Twitter, Sony TV said: "We have been alerted to the circulation of an unauthorised video from our show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. This video misleadingly overlays a fabricated voice-over of our host and presents distorted content. Upholding the show's integrity and our viewers' trust is paramount, and we are actively addressing this matter with the cybercrime cell. We strongly condemn such misinformation, urge our audience to be vigilant, and refrain from sharing unverified content."

Saathiya director Shaad Ali takes legal action over alleged script theft: Report

Filmmaker Shaad Ali has taken legal action in a Mumbai court following the alleged theft of his script by two former associates, as per reports. Ali has called on the court to direct the police to file a case against the two individuals involved. In his formal complaint, Ali has asserted that these ex-colleagues falsely registered his script under their own names with the Screen Writers Association. Additionally, they have been actively promoting the story to various production houses, fraudulently claiming it as their original work.

According to reports from India Today, Shaad Ali has submitted a complaint to the Mumbai court regarding the alleged script theft. In his plea, the director alleged that the two individuals had manipulated the system by registering his script with the Screen Writers Association and misleadingly presenting it as their own creation. Furthermore, they were actively marketing the script to multiple production companies, falsely asserting their authorship.

Representing Ali, lawyer Jay Bharadwaj conveyed to the court that the director had invested a significant amount of time in developing the script. During this process, Ali claimed that he had shared the story with the two associates, seeking their input and suggestions for potential improvements. Remarkably, Ali also claimed that he voluntarily provided each of them with a goodwill gesture, amounting to 90 thousand rupees, even though there was no legal obligation to do so.

Shaad Ali claimed that when he confronted the two individuals regarding the theft, they demanded a substantial sum of Rs. 5 crores to “amicably settle the issue.” The director also disclosed that he had received threats from these individuals. Following a court hearing, it was suggested that a decision on Ali's complaint might be reached on October 12.

Akshay Kumar returns as the ambassador of Vimal Pan Masala; features along with Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan in the new commercial

Akshay Kumar, who is known for doing patriotic films, the actor found himself at the receiving end when netizens slammed him for promoting a pan masala brand. Due to the same, the actor decided to bow down from the endorsement, which was originally being promoted by him along with Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn. And now going by the recently released commercial of the brand, it seems that Kumar has rekindled his association with the brand as he made an appearance along with the other superstars in the ad.

The recent pan masala advertisement found its way online and has been going viral. The ad features Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn waiting in the car for Akshay Kumar, who seems to have his headphones on and despite the several honks, is unable to hear them. Shah Rukh Khan decides to throw a ball at the window but ends up breaking the neighbor’s window. The latter appears fuming and unaffected by all the drama around, Ajay opens a packet of the pan masala and its ‘kesar’ magic draws Akshay out of his music down as he comes down to join the duo in the car.

In the past, Akshay Kumar had penned a long note after the backlash he had received online for his association with the brand. He had said, “I am sorry. I would like to apologise to you, all my fans and well-wishers. Your reaction over the past few days has deeply affected me. While I have not and will not endorse tobacco, I respect the outpouring of your feelings in light of my association with Vimal Elaichi. With all humility, I step back. I have decided to contribute the entire endorsement fee towards a worthy cause. The brand might continue airing the ads till the legal duration of the contract that is binding upon me, but I promise to be extremely mindful in making my future choices. In return I shall forever continue to ask for your love and wishes.”

On the work front, Akshay Kumar was last seen in Mission Raniganj which is inspired by the real life 1989 coal mining accident. The film released on October 6 and also stars Parineeti Chopra.

Shah Rukh Khan seeks police protection after receiving death threats; gets upgraded to Y+ security

Bollywood facing the wrath of the underworld has been a rather infamous 90s phenomena and it seems that it has returned to haunt the superstars yet again, especially Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. While the blackbuck case resulted in Salman and his family receiving death threats until today, the threats for Shah Rukh Khan seems to have returned after his stupendous success post Jawan and Pathaan. And now the actor has been provided with Y+ security.

Readers would be aware that Shah Rukh Khan has received record breaking success in 2023 with him being the only Indian actor to have garnered to two massive blockbusters consecutively. Post that, the actor seems to have approached the Mumbai police to seek protection wherein he revealed that he has been receiving death threats, after which the police sprung into action and provided him Y+ security cover, The said cover includes six armed personnel around the clock unlike his usual security which only included two officers. After Salman Khan was provided with the same security earlier this year after he received death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang, Shah Rukh Khan is the next actor to have received this recently.

Earlier, in a post shared by Sanjay Gupta, the filmmaker had appreciated Shah Rukh Khan not only in his film Jawan but also his ability to stand up and speak up against wrong doings. He had also recalled the time when Bollywood including Shah Rukh Khan received several threats from the underworld in the 90s, and how the superstar refused to bow down. Nushrratt Bharuccha arrives in Mumbai safely after she was stranged in Israel amid ongoing war with Palestine during Hamas attack, watch video

Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha, who was stranded in Israel amid the ongoing war between Israel and Palestine,  has reached India safely. The actress was in Israel for her film Akelli's premiere which was officially selected at the 39th Haifa International Film Festival. As Israel announced they were at war, people took refuge in several places. While Nushrratt's team on Saturday said that they hadn't been able to contact her since the afternoon, on Sunday morning, they were able to establish contact with her. The Embassy has safely brought her back to India.

Nushrratt Bharuccha was seen at the airport in Mumbai on Sunday afternoon. The videos and photos of her arrival went viral on social media.

Nushrratt Bharuccha's publicist said in a statement earlier, "Nushrratt has finally boarded the flight for India and is on her way back home. She will be landing in Mumbai at 2:00 pm."

EXCLUSIVE: Hansal Mehta’s show with Pratik Gandhi on Mahatma Gandhi to go on floors in a month

Hansal Mehta and Pratik Gandhi’s collaboration in Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story turned out to be one of the most iconic Hindi web shows. The web series told the life story of the stock market scamster Harshad Mehta. The two also collaborated for the short film Baai in the anthology Modern Love: Mumbai.

Mehta and Gandhi’s next collaboration in the form of a web series on Mohandar Karamchand Gandhi aka Mahatma Gandhi is keenly awaited as it is the first show of the duo after Scam 1992. The web series is adapted from historian Ramachandra Guha’s books ‘Gandhi Before India’ and ‘Gandhi: The Years That Changed The World.’ The show will see Pratik play Gandhi while it will be produced by Applause Entertainment, which had also produced Scam 1992.

In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Hungama, Hansal Mehta revealed that the show is all set to commence shoot soon. “We are very heavily into pre-production. We will be commencing shoot within maximum of a month. We are preparing to begin shooting,” he said.

Interestingly, Pratik has played Gandhi before in Manoj Shah’s Gujarati play Mohan No Masalo. He also starred in the Hindi and English adaptations of the same play. Although Hansal has seen the play, he said that that wasn’t the reason why he cast Pratik to play Gandhi in his show. “Pratik was cast in the show by Applause (Entertainment). I came into the show a month after Pratik was cast. After Pratik was cast and after I came in, we all went together to watch the play,” said the filmmaker.

Hansal pointed out that the play is hugely different from the show they are set out to make, although both are based on Gandhi’s life. “They are two different interpretations,” he said. “One, it is theatre. And it’s an interpretation of his life through a monologue. It’s a one-man act. It’s incredibly well performed. It’s incredible! But what we are doing right now is something far beyond that. It’s a different interpretation and a different medium altogether. We are doing our best to do something that we have never seen before.”

Shefali Shah shares personal experience of street harassment; says, “I was really young”

Acclaimed actress Shefali Shah has opened up about facing street harassment at a young age, and how she believes that sons must be raised right in order to keep daughters safe.

In an interview with News18, Shah, who is a mother of two sons, said that she too has faced street harassment like most women. She recalled an incident when she was coming back from school as a young girl and was harassed by a man in a crowded market.

“I remember when I was really young, and in the market, coming back from school, I faced it. And I couldn’t do anything about it. I was too young and I was just scared and no one stood up. I mean, it was crowded, but that’s not a justification but I guess almost all women have somewhere dealt with it,” she said.

Shah said that she believes that daughters can only be safe when sons are raised right. She asserted, “We just talk about people being safe, respected and not harassed. And for that, I’ve got to raise two good wonderful sensitive individuals... To put it short and sweet, I always tell my sons – treat others the way you expect to be treated yourself. It’s really just as simple as that.”

Coming to the professional front, the renowned actress was seen in a bunch of projects, released in 2022, including Doctor G, Darlings and Delhi Crime Season 2.
